NABI needs officers and staff of high calibre and potential to generate a transformational institute. They will be taken on direct selection or on deputation basis on the following positions:

Posts:

Management Assistants (Administration, Accounts, Stores, Public Relations):04 posts, Pay-PB2 (Rs9300 - 34800) + GP 4200, Age-26yrs (as on 31.03.2011)

Qualifications: First class Graduate with relevant subjects and minimum of two years experience in administration, accounts, stores management, human resource or public relations in a government office or a public body or organisation of high repute.

Desirable:

a) Knowledge of government rules with respect to administration, finance, purchase and skills in computer applications, public relations and information management.

b) For Administration: Post Graduate Diploma or MBA.

For Accounts: Graduate with SAS/CA/ICWA or MBA (Finance) or Commerce.

For Stores: Diploma in Materials Management or MBA.

For Public Relations: Graduate in communications, Post Graduate in English or MBA.

Job Requirement: Skillful management in administration, finance, information, accounts; liaison with scientists, staff, visitors, outside agencies.

System Analyst (High Performance Computing):01 post, Pay- PB3 (Rs15600 - 39100) + GP 5400

Age-30yrs (as 0n 31.03.2011)

Qualifications:

(i) First class B. Tech/BE/MCA/M. Sc. (Computers or Electronics or IT) with minimum two years experience on system administration in highly reputed organisation.

(ii) Detailed technical understanding and troubleshooting skills in systems administration of UNIX/Linux and/or their variants/derivatives, experience with task automation using scripting. Hands on experience in installation & troubleshooting of WIN, UNIX, LINUX based Servers on various architectures. Installation & configuration of storage, LAN and SAN.

Desirable: Experience in Perl/C/Python/Java languages with strong Bash scripting skills, understanding of Web Services, experience in managing HPC clusters and Linux based servers. Relevant industry standard certifications. Should possess the mindset and intelligence to probe into reasons behind failures of services/ components, perform critical root cause analysis, present his/her findings and propose solutions to solve/mitigate the problem. In-depth knowledge in application algorithms, performance analysis, system software, specialized hardware (GPUs etc.). Experience using multiple high-performance parallel computational platforms

Job Requirement: Will be responsible for installing and configuring operating system and middleware/other software onto servers which are part of a cluster/grid, monitoring the status of such resources, taking corrective measures if necessary to ensure maximum uptime and availability and resolving/clarifying queries and issues that users of the system are likely to raise.  Will be fully responsible for Management of High Performance Computing facilities, User support (Linux) in an HPC environment, Scientific Applications support, Linux based Systems Administration, High Performance computing.

Technical Officer (Software Support):01 post, Pay- PB2 (Rs9300 - 34800) + GP 4200 ,age 26 yrs(as on 31.03.2011)

Qualifications: First class in B. Tech/ BE/ MCA/ M. Sc. (in Computers/Electronics/ Information Technology).  Experience of minimum two years in C/C++/Perl/Python/Java/XML/ Web Technology programming with excellent debugging and troubleshooting skills. Experience of working on UNIX/Linux and/or its variants/derivatives, working with GNU compliers, knowledge of UNIX shell scripting, Database – MySQL, Postgre SQL

Desirable: Knowledge in multicore architecture. Experience of working with/contributing to FOSS and excellent documentation skills and a demonstrable inclination to research. Relevant industry standard certifications.

Job Requirement: Will be part of dynamic team working towards researching and developing bleeding edge solutions to problems faced by users and administrators in the field of High Performance Computing. They should be able to port, parallelize applications and efficiently use large high performance computing clusters built using hundreds of server class multiprocessor nodes, several hundred terabytes FC SAN network based high performance storage system including automated tape library and systems area and storage area networks based on Infiniband and gigabit Ethernet on user sites.

Technical Officer (Database):01 post, Pay- PB2 (Rs9300 - 34800) + GP 4200 +

 Age: 26 yrs (as on 31.03.2011)

Qualifications: Three year Diploma in IT/Computers/ Electronics with first class and at least 2 years experience in Database handling designing, programming and management, software development OR first class MCA/B. Tech in Electronics/IT/CS.

Desirable: Red Hat certification, CCNA, DBA certification, skills in database development, management and programming.

Job Requirement: Development and management of scientific and administrative database RDBMS, Development of ERP, Management of Networks.

Assistant Engineer (Electrical) :01 post, Pay- PB2 (9300 - 34800) + GP 4200 ,Age-30yrs(as on 31.03.2011)

Qualifications: B.Tech in Electrical Engineering with 5 years experience or AMIE/ Diploma in Electrical engineering with 8 years experience in a government or reputed organisation as incharge of development and maintenance of infrastructure.

Desirable: Five years experience as Assistant Engineer or 8 years as Junior Engineer or equivalent post in CPWD/MES/ other engineering departments in Government/PSU/ autonomous bodies.

Job Requirement: Planning and supervision of electrical, air conditioning, safety aspects and civil works in construction of campus and maintenance of research laboratory. Responsibility of tendering quotations, liaise with institutional consultants in finalisation of designs, tender documents based on major works. Monitor execution; certify payments as per governmental procedures.

 Senior Technical Assistants {(i) Chemistry, (ii)Agronomy} :02 posts, Pay- PB2 (Rs 9300 - 34800) + GP Rs 4200,Age-26yrs(as on 31.03 2011)

Qualifications: First class M. Sc. or equivalent with one year experience or First class B. Sc. with five year experience in relevant area i.e. (i) high-end chemical analysis of natural plant fractions OR

(ii) crop management, statistical design of field experiments and plant breeding.

Desirable:

(i) Experience of conducting analysis of natural plant products, extracts, purification of fractions in large amounts, using LC, GC, MS, IR, MALDI, NMR etc.

OR (ii) Experience of designing field experiments, micropropagation, hardening, crop management, planning and executing crosses and progeny analysis on medicinal or food crops.

Job Requirement: Assisting scientists and scholars in research, maintaining equipments and infrastructure, QC and large scale preparations.
