INDIAN FOREST SERVICE EXAMINATION, 2011

A competitive examination for recruitment to the Indian Forest Service will be held by the Union Public Service Commission commencing from the 9th July, 2011

Age: Not less than 21 years and not more than 30 years as on 1st July, 2011. The upper age is relaxable for SC/ST/OBC and certain other categories of candidates to the extent specified in the Notice.

Educational Qualifications: The candidate must hold a Bachelor’s degree with at least one of the subjects namely Animal Husbandry & Veterinary Science, Botany, Chemistry, Geology, Mathematics, Physics, Statistics and Zoology or a Bachelor’s degree in Agriculture, Forestry or in Engineering of any of Universities incorporated by an Act of the Central or State Legislature in India or other educational institutions established by an Act of Parliament or declared to be deemed as a University under Section-3 of the University Grants Commission Act, 1956 or possesses an equivalent qualification.
